Nathan, you're right, but I'd use "è stata" or, even better, "ha partecipato", NOT "ha assistito". The verb "assistere" implies that you're merely watching without interacting.

I think we would say 'ha assistito alla riunione/all'incontro."

Frequentato implies an ongoing, habitual action.
