Wrong spell? Do you mean "pretence"/"pretense"?
To my knowledge they are both correct: "Pretence" is BE and "Pretense" is AE.
BTW,

How to say the words, "phony" and "pretense?" If so can you use these in this sentence? Sorry i spelled it wrong in the question. grazie... :)
