Is this correct

Il suocero dell'uomo è alto. The father-in-law of the man is tall. I don't know what is going on with my account but I am having troubles viewing the answers. I hope that isn't the case with this question.

grazie a Dio i am able to read the answer finally. grazie dell'aiuto. Can you tell me why it is weird and what would you change. :)

It's weird because, in italian, that sentence is a very generic, despite the use of the determinative article. There are cases in which it's ok [ i.e. when it's said by a journalist ], but I'd rather say "The father-in-law of THAT man is tall" [ Il suocero di QUELL'uomo è alto ].

I could say the same for the 3rd sentence, but it really depends on the context...
Are these sentences part of a school assignment?

ok I did fix the third sentence. "I parenti di quella donna stanno mangiando." or "I parenti di questa donna stanno mangiando." è questo correcto? or is it è correcto? grazie... :)

"I parenti di quella/questa donna stanno mangiando" is correct, but remember that there are cases in which the original sentence is ok...
Anyway, "Correcto" is Spanish. :D
"Corretto" is Italian. ;)
You can say "(Questo) è corretto?" or "(Questo) è giusto?".
